Midway Church is now a vibrant and diverse community where an average 2,100 attend its three weekend services. The engaging, age-targeted space is inviting and spacious—with separate floors designated for early childhood and elementary. The Children’s Pastor/Director gives oversight to all ministries from birth through 5th grade.Midway Kids recently employed an Interim Director to finish the ministry season and make sure summer got off on the right foot. Heading into VBS, they anticipated 350 kids and 150 volunteers would participate. Through God’s blessing, He leveraged the leadership of Midway Kids’ enthusiasm and VBS ended up with 413 kids and over 200 volunteers! The desire to break out of the traditional mold began two decades ago and there’s great opportunity to keep building on this momentum today.
